Leadership

Elders

The biblical titles, "Elder," "Overseer," and "Pastor" are all synonymous terms that are used interchangeably in the New Testament to refer to the office of leadership within the church.  These leaders are responsible for the teaching of God's word, prayer, and the shepherding of Christ's church.

Dave Newton

Teaching Pastor
Dave Newton is the teaching pastor and an elder at Gospel Fellowship. Dave received his B.A from Moody Bible Institute and his M.A. from Wheaton Graduate School, focusing on Biblical exegesis in the original languages and Biblical Theology. Before coming to Gospel Fellowship in 2015, Dave served as Associate Pastor at Grace Church of DuPage in Warrenville, IL. He and his wife, Shasta, both grew up in rural Michigan and came to Christ after high school. They have been married for over 25 years and have two children.

Michael Dick

Associate Pastor
Michael Dick serves as the Associate Pastor at Gospel Fellowship and as an elder. Michael oversees all the ministries at GFS with a focus on Student Ministry. He received his B.A. in Biological Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a MDiv in Christian Ministries from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Michael and his wife, Rhonda, came to Christ in college and met at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at Campus Crusade for Christ. They have been married over 10 years and have two children.

Kent Millen

Elder
Kent Millen serves as an elder and oversees missions at Gospel Fellowship. He teaches Bible and philosophy at Heritage Christian School. Kent received his B.A. in Youth Ministry from Judson University, and M.A.’s in Sociology of Religion from Loyola University of Chicago and Christian Apologetics from Biola University. Kent and his wife, Brandy, have been married over 15 years have three children.

Matt Hustad

Elder
Matt serves as an elder at Gospel Fellowship and is actively involved in our Children's and Discipleship ministries.  He is the Vice President of Finance and Operations at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.  Matt earned his B.S. in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Matt and his wife, Jessie, began walking with Christ shortly after college and around the time that they first met.  They have been married since 2007 and have six children (plus many farm animals).  Matt enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing with his family, as well as coaching basketball.

Aaron Yuskis

Elder
Aaron Yuskis serves as an elder at Gospel Fellowship and is actively involved in our children’s ministry and focuses on preparing the 6th graders for our Student Ministry. He teaches Advanced History at Pewaukee High School. Aaron has a B.A. in History from Cornerstone University and a M.A. in Education from Aurora University. Aaron and his wife, Heather, have been married over 15 years and have four children.

Deacons

The title “deacon” implies an unusually graced servant positioned within the ministry, one who commands the respect of leadership by his/her character and labor. The Deacon Board refers to the entire body of deacons, both men and women who are members of the church, who assist the work of the church governed by the elders.
