  • Why should the fear of God move us to submit our lives to Him? How should the fear of God move us to evangelize others? 
  • Why do the opinions of others mean so much to us? How does being known by God bring a deep comfort to us when others accuse and slander us?
  • Who is really in control of your life? Who do you really love most? How is that leading you practically to die to self and sin, and live more fully for Christ?
Sermon preview -- 2 Corinthians 5:16-21:
  • What do you know about the future new creation that Christ is bringing? In what way is Paul applying that new creation to us here and now in Christ?
  • What repeated words do you find in this passage?
  • What specific phrases teach us what Christ has done at the cross to reconcile us?

  • How does the gospel change the way we see Christ? How does the gospel change the way we see other people?
  • What does it mean for us to be a new creation? How does that identity help with past guilt, shame and sin?
  • What does reconciliation with God mean to you? How should it change our relationship with God? With others? 
  • How is God calling you to be an ambassador for reconciliation?
Sermon preview -- 2 Corinthians 6:1-13:
  • What verses have an appeal to the Corinthian church? What do you think is going on in the Corinthian church that necessitates these appeals?
  • How does Paul demonstrate his faithfulness and suffering for the Corinthians? What should have been the appropriate response from the Corinthians towards Paul in light of this?
