- Which mountain do you find your heart being drawn to worship at: Mt Zion or an idolatrous mountain of false piety?
- What are specific ways that you rely on your own holiness (a false holiness) rather than on the holiness of God imparted to you?
- How are the abundant promises of a new creation and a curseless worship something that you are looking forward to and actively hoping in today? How does it encourage you to walk wisely, engage faithfully, and worship continually?
- What power is available for spiritual growth?
- What resources are available for spiritual growth?
Review/Preview Questions for Sunday, June 21, 2026
Sermon review -- Isaiah 52-53:
- Where is God calling you to wake up to His calling and instruction? How will you seek accountability with a trusted friend to continue to respond to God's word?
- Where have you grown drowsy/sleepy in your pursuit of God and sanctification?
- How does the truth of Jesus as your suffering servant change the way you view yourself, your sin, and your submission to Christ?
- Have you responded to the gospel? If you have, share a portion of your testimony with someone this week. If you have not, talk to someone who does know the gospel and pray about what submission to Christ in the gospel should look like.
- Read Isaiah 65-66. How do you see the Mountain of God showing up in these chapters?
- How would you describe the reaction to God from those who are still committed to their idols?
- How would you describe the new city that God is creating?
- How would you describe the people of the new creation? What do they look like? How are they living?
