Prayer for Week of 1/27/25

Prayer Passage: John 12:32

Pray that we at Gospel Fellowship would fear God in a fallen world that we might enjoy Him now and forever in a restored world.

Prayer for our Church Families:

• Bob and Mari Paffenroth: 
  • Safe travels and while we are away a real sense of growing in the Lord. And growing in our marriage.
  • Pray for their children (and their wives) to know and grow in their walk with Christ. 
  • Also, I would love prayers for mine and Bob‘s increasing involvement with my wonderful 92 and 95 year old mother and father. Both are trusting the Lord and his good and gracious plan in these later years of life.
  • And another huge praise that a recent ultrasound of my liver came back with good results.
• Rich and Sue Petersohn:  Please pray for Sue as she continues navigating the life long and constantly changing journey of Parkinson's Disease. Pray that the meds she is on continue to be effective. Also pray for fortitude and perseverance in maintaining the vigorous therapy and exercise regime she is on that helps to maintain her mobility, flexibility, and general health. Please pray for Rich that he is aware of and sensitive to Sue's physical, emotional, and other needs and changes as they arise, and that he is able to help Sue and walk along with her in this journey. Thank you all for ongoing prayer!

Prayer for Local and Global Missions:

Neighborhood: That our neighbors would see the glory of the cross as we deny ourselves like Christ that we might build one another up with the love of Christ. (John 13:35)

Voice of the Martyrs: Benin

• Benin is the birthplace of voodoo, and the country celebrates National Voodoo Day on January 10th each year. Pray that voodooists will find new life in Christ. 
• Pray that Christians who have been attacked by voodooists will be encouraged and stand firm in their faith. 
• In Benin, about 30% are Christians, 40% practice ethnic religions and 30% are Muslims. Pray that more will know Christ. 
• Pray that churches and pastors will shine a light through the darkness in Benin and glorify God.
