Prayer for the Week of 5/10

Please use this prayer guide throughout the week as you pray individually and as a family. 

Exodus 12:14-20:  There are 5 ways the Feast of Unleavened Bread is to shape the congregation.  They are: 1) to not forget God's saving work that He has done, 2) to feast, have fellowship, with the Lord and with one another, 3) to be focused on the future generations, 4) the flee from sin, and 5) to find their identity in the work of God's salvation.  

Local:
Church:
Elders:
  • Pray that the Elders would continue to find their identity and direction in the work of Christ in their lives.  
  • Pray that they would set the example of not forgetting the great things that God has done for them and that they would continue flee from sin. 

Church:
  • Pray that the church might remember and reflect  in its gatherings on Sunday the character of God and their Identity in Christ.
  • Pray that Gospel Fellowship would grow in their desire to see the next generation reached with the gospel by: a) engaging in family discipleship and b) by serving in the ministries geared towards the next generation 

Church Families:
  • The Andersons
  • The Bacons

Neighborhood:
  • Pray that our neighbors would through our gospel witness the glory of Christ and the beauty of the gospel. 
  • Pray that Gospel Fellowship would have opportunities to to share about what God has done. 

Missionaries:
Mark and Laura Ambrose:
  • Pray for Mark and Laura as they serve individuals in Cambodia and help them to see God's care and deliverance from some of their worldly hardships
  • Pray that Mark and Laura can point these individuals to God as their deliverer from their spiritual condition apart from him
  • Pray that Laura's health would improve and that through this time she might grow through suffering look more like Christ
  • Pray that Mark and Laura would continue to be sanctified from sin and protected from sin that would impact their ministry.
