Prayer for the Week of 8/2

Exodus 15:22-27 looked at the people of Israel as they encountered the crisis in the wilderness and God’s command to be faithful through testing.  We saw 1) that testing is to cause the believer to look more like Christ through transformation and 2) that crisis, testing, and commands from God are given to reveal to us what is in our hearts.
 
Local:
Gospel Fellowship:

Elders:

• Pray that the Lord would grant wisdom to the elders to help shepherd the flock faithfully though the wilderness.   

Church Body:

• Pray that Gospel Fellowship would encourage one another through their crises and that transformation would continue to be seen throughout the church.

Church Building:

• Pray for God's direction for our current and future building needs and expansion.

Church Families:

• Hoffer
• Huffman

Neighborhood:

• Pray for opportunities to speak with our Neighbors about our God who is our Healer through our difficult trials.  

Missionaries:

Paul and Marilyn Karstens

• Pray for God’s provision and strength as the Karstens face crises of needing a generator with rolling blackouts (South Africa remains locked down and Zoom calls are the only means for the teaching ministry to go forward)
• Pray also for difficulties that have arisen with work previously done on their house as well as their car needing repairs.
