Prayer for the Week of 8/9

Matthew 11:25-30 teaches about 1) revelation, 2) rescue, 3) receiving discipleship, and 4) resting in Christ.  These four realities are enabled by God and realized through Jesus Christ alone.  Christ’s yoke is hard because it involves cross-bearing.  However, it is easy because, through faith, we are yoked to the Omnipotent Creator of the universe.

Local:
Gospel Fellowship:

Elders:

• Pray that the Lord would continue to strengthen the Elders to find strength and rest in Christ.

Church Body:

• Pray that Gospel Fellowship would humbly point one another to the discipleship that Christ and the Scriptures offer.

Church Building:

• Pray for God's direction for our current and future building needs and expansion.
• Pray for Mission Sunday coming up on Oct. 10.

Church Families:

• Hustad
• Jackson

Neighborhood:

• Pray for opportunities to point our neighbors to the rest that Christ alone offers in the midst of struggling to prove their worth to God.

Missionaries:

Mark and Laura Ambrose

• Pray for God to give rest in the midst of the pace of ministry in Cambodia.
• Pray that their trip home on furlough would be rejuvenating and restful.
