Prayer for the Week of 8/16

Psalm 56 teaches whom we should look to when we feel fear.  We see that 1) when we are afraid, we can trust God because is for us and 2) when we are afraid, we can fight our fears by trusting in God who is present and accomplishes what He promises to do.
 
Local:
Gospel Fellowship:

Elders:

• Pray that the Elders would place their trust in the Lord and His purposes as they lead and shepherd the congregation.

Church Body:

• Pray that Gospel Fellowship would encourage one another to place their trust in God who is for them.

Church Building:

• Pray for God's direction for our current and future building needs and expansion.
• Pray for Mission Sunday coming up on Oct. 10.

Church Families:

• Pray for opportunities to point our neighbors to God who cares about the things that bring them fear.

Missionaries:

• Pray for trust in the Lord during frightening times and events as South Africa faces racial tension and potential insurrection.
• Pray for the students which are currently having to learn over Zoom and for the pastors that continue to teach and organize those ministry opportunities.
