Prayer for the Week of 9/6

Exodus 17:1-7 looks at how the people of Israel put God to the test and the source of hope provided for the obstinate.  The obstinate heart is revealed in five characteristics: 1) being argumentative, 2) being arrogant, 3) avoiding wise counsel, 4) amplifying the problem, and 5) being aggressive.
 
Local:
Gospel Fellowship:

Elders:

• Pray that the Elders would continue to find their hope in the provision of God and resist a heart of obstinance.

Church Body:

• Pray that Gospel Fellowship would point one another away from stubbornness and towards God’s provision as their source of hope.

Church Building:

• Pray for God's direction for our current and future building needs and expansion.
• Pray for Mission Sunday coming up on Oct. 10.

Church Families:

• Laramy
• Larsen

Neighborhood:

• Pray for opportunities to point our neighbors to God and to encourage them to turn away from a hard and obstinate heart.

Missionaries:

Mark and Laura Ambrose

• Pray for God’s encouragement and provision during their time home.
• Pray for them to rest their hopes in God as they tour the various churches that provide support for them.
