Prayer for the Week of 9/27

Exodus 18:13-24 focuses on the need for additional individuals to serve for God’s purposes to see His kingdom displayed on earth.  The individuals who make up the organized plurality of Godly leadership are to bear certain character qualifications, to be examined, and are then to be ordained to serve in this vital function.  
 
Local:
Gospel Fellowship:

Elders:

• Pray that the Elders would be faithful in identifying, ordaining, and humbly pursuing individuals to aid in the ministry of the church so that God’s kingdom and peace would be apparent in and through the church.

Church Body:

• Pray that Gospel Fellowship would encourage one another to bear the character qualifications and desires to serve the body for God’s kingdom purposes.

Church Building:

• Pray for God's direction for our current and future building needs and expansion.
• Pray for Mission Sunday coming up on Oct. 10.

Church Families:

Neighborhood:

• Pray for opportunities for the neighborhood to see the organized plurality of God’s leaders as a picture of Peace that God intends for his people and kingdom.

Missionaries:

• Pray for continued perseverance through slow internet speeds as the teaching happens over zoom due to COVID.
• Pray for the first teaching trip to the eastern cape on October 21st-24th.  There is a strong desire of the students to have the teaching continue.
