Prayer for the Week of 4/11/22

Please use this prayer guide throughout the week as you pray individually and as a family.

Exodus 29 answers the question: How can a sinful man dwell with a holy God?  The answer comes in 3 parts; 1) God’s purpose is for us to know Him, 2) the propitiation provides a substitute for us to satisfy God’s wrath, and 3) the priesthood is the mediator, ultimately pointing to Jesus as a sympathetic and gentle High Priest.

Local:
Gospel Fellowship:

Elders:

  • Pray that the Elders would be faithful to remind the congregation of Jesus and his propitiatory sacrifice and the resulting relationship they have with God.

Church Body:

  • Pray that Gospel Fellowship would encourage one another to continue to grow in a deeper knowledge and intimacy with God centered on the Word and Christ.

Church Building: (A season of specific prayer for the month of April)

  • Matthew 6:19-21, “Do no lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasures is, there your heart will be also.”
  • Matthew 6:24, “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve God and money.”
    • Pray that our hearts would be drawn towards God, His Son, His word, and His church.
    • Pray that our treasures would be directed towards those things which are closest to God’s heart and desires.
    • Pray that our whole lives (finances, service, fellowship, family, etc…) would be to the service of God.
  • Pray for God's direction and wisdom for our current and future building needs and expansion.
