Prayer for Week of 11/21/22

Please use this prayer guide throughout the week as you pray individually and as a family.

Prayer Passage: 1 Corinthians 1:30-31

Pray that we at Gospel Fellowship would more and more be led, by the cross, to deny ourselves like Christ that we might build one another up with the love of Christ.

Prayer for our Church Families:

  • Mark and Diana Anderson
  • Kel and Kim Bacon

Prayer for Specific Needs/Requests:

  • Update and Prayer for Chris Reed:  Chris’s cognitive awareness progressed very well throughout the day yesterday, Sunday (11/20). He is very much himself and was able to read with his left eye the card the kids gave him. I (Rachel) had not realized how worried I had been until I felt a deep sense of relief with all of this. He has also gotten back his appetite, and I have set up a schedule for his care so that I don’t miss anything.

He has an eye appointment set up for today. As important as this appointment is, I am a little nervous about what the doctor says. Sometimes knowing is harder than not knowing.

Thank you to the many caring friends and family who have prayed and messaged and helped and offered to help. I look forward to the day when I will be able to show him all your messages.

Prayer for Local and Global Missions

Neighborhood: That our neighbors would see the glory of the cross as we deny ourselves like Christ that we might build one another up with the love of Christ. (John 13:35)

Local Missions: Simeon Trust

Global Missions: Paul and Marilyn Karstens (Cape Town, South Africa)

  • Please pray for the Karstens who are all currently sick.  Also for Brydon who was injured during a cricket match and is recovering.
  • Pray for continued safety for the family with the loss of power and increased crime that is happening in the country.

*We want to pray for you. Please email prayer requests to office@gfswi.org
