Prayer for Week of 12/4/23

Please use this prayer guide throughout the week as you pray individually and as a family.

Prayer Passage: Matthew 2:1-6

Pray that we at Gospel Fellowship would be more and more led by the cross to deny ourselves like Christ that we might build one another up with the love of Christ.

Prayer for our Church Families:

  • Emma Gibbons
  • John and Kristin Gibbons: We ask for wisdom and direction for our sons (Sam & Jake) as they contemplate and discuss marriage with their girlfriends. Also pray that God would continue to develop and mature them as spiritual leaders and leaders of families in the future. And pray for a godly spouse for Emma, too.

Prayer for Local and Global Missions

Neighborhood: That our neighbors would see the glory of the cross as we deny ourselves like Christ that we might build one another up with the love of Christ. (John 13:35)

Local Missions: Simeon Trust

Global Missions: Paul and Marilyn Karstens (Cape Town, South Africa)

  • Pray for the Paul and Marilyn as they prepare for a ministry break, that they might be encouraged and rejuvenated by Christ.
  • Pray for an follow up trip to Kimberly in January to catch up some men who missed the last training.
  • Pray for the Lord's provision financially for Paul's 2024 minsitry year.

Voice of the Martyrs: Democratic Republic of Congo (Africa)
  • Church is under immense pressure in the eastern part of DRC.  In areas controlled by Allied Democratic Forces, churches have been raided, destroyed and believers brutally killed. Some local Christians have been abducted and told recant their faith in Christ and convert to Islam. Those abducted have witnessed horrific acts of violence against fellow Christians.
  • Please pray for God’s mercy, peace and strength for these fellow brothers and sisters.
  • Pray also for salvation for members of the Allied Democratic Forces.
*We want to pray for you. Please email prayer requests to office@gfswi.org
