Prayer for Week of 8/12/24

Prayer Passage: Mark 1:16-20

Pray that we at Gospel Fellowship would fear God in a fallen world that we might enjoy Him now and forever in a restored world.

Prayer for our Church Families:

Prayer for Local and Global Missions:

Neighborhood: That our neighbors would see the glory of the cross as we deny ourselves like Christ that we might build one another up with the love of Christ. (John 13:35)

Local Missions: Simeon Trust

Global Missions: Paul and Marilyn Karstens (Cape Town, South Africa)

• Pray for Paul's ministry at Plumbstead Baptist church as he enters into a new preaching series. 
• Pray for the difficulties fixing a leaking roof due to the rainy season they are facing. 
• Pray for wisdom for the next steps of the training sties in the townships. 

Voice of the Martyrs: Russia

• Pray that Christians who worship outside the Russian Orthodox Church will endure the persecution they face. 
• Pray that Christians and front-line workers in Russian-controlled areas will have opportunities to reach the lost. Pray, too, for their protection. 
• Pray that the body of Christ in Russia and areas under its control will be “the light of the world” and a “city on a hill” that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14).
